With the world's highest density of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Venice is a city that will surely leave you lost for words. Full of unexplored corners, pretty canals, gothic palaces and carnival masks, this watery world is one of the most recognizable and unique places on earth and one that should not be missed!
Take a romantic gondola ride down the Grand Canal, step inside the city's famous basilica, visit some of the world's most impressive art and get lost in the Maze-like districts of Cannaregio and Dorsoduro where you will discover the real Venice. There's plenty to keep you busy for a week, and with Go Real Europe, you can experience it all for yourself.
Transport to Venice
Venice is one of Europe's most unique cities in that no motorized cars can access the city center. Since the city is surrounded by water, there are just two ways to get around: on foot and by boat (Vaporetto). We think this makes exploring Venice even more exciting! There are plenty of Vaporetto stops, so getting around by boat is very easy and they run very frequently throughout the day. Alternatively explore the city on foot, where getting lost amongst the network of canals, bridges and alleys is half the fun!
Located In the North East of Italy, Venice is relatively well connected to most large cities in Europe, either by train or by flight to either of its two airports, Venice Marco Polo or Treviso. Travel to other parts of Italy is also very easy and cost effective by train using the highspeed Alta Velocita Frecciarossa trains to travel from city to city.
When you travel with Go Real Europe, we take care of all of your intercity surface connections between our destination cities.
