Transport to Cinque Terre
Cinque Terre is one of the most unique places in Italy and its remoteness and rugged beauty is what attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors to its five towns every year. The most popular way to reach Cinque Terre is by train as the nearest airports are in Milan, Genova or Pisa. Most of the fast speed trains connect the town of Monterosso from Genova, Milan or Pisa. If you are traveling up from the south perhaps from Rome of Florence, then most trains will stop at La Spezia Centrale.
Train travel is the key method to travel around this region, with a frequent train connecting all of the five towns together with the neighboring towns of La Spezia and Levanto. During the summer months, you can also opt to travel from town to town by boat for a more scenic experience.
