Set in the heart of Tuscany’s rolling hills, Florence is a surprisingly small city, packed full of some of Europe's most impressive artistic treasures. This makes exploring Florence a very walkable city, so exploring on foot is a great way to see its historical center.

Florence is very well served by rail and air. This makes visiting Florence very easy to pair with other Italian cities such as Rome, Milan, and Venice as well neighbouring cities including Munich, Salzburg, and Vienna. Florence airport is located just a short distance from the city, with direct flights to many cities in Central Europe.
