Direct Flights from the USA to Central Europe
Whenever you want to fly from the USA to Europe, you are usually directed to travel through major European hubs such as Frankfurt, Paris, London or Amsterdam even though your destination is Prague, Vienna or Budapest. If you are just fed up with the long distances travel and wasted valuable travel time juggling between Frankfurt airport terminals or Charles de Gaulle's notorious lost baggage counter, we at Go Real Europe have the panacea…
There are several airlines which will bring you straight to where you need (and want) to be:
Direct flights from New York City to Berlin or Munich
New York has the best options for direct connections to the most visited Central European Cities.
You can fly from JFK to TXL in Berlin or MUC in Munich non-stop with Lufthansa, the largest European airline. It is definitely pricier not have to transfer anywhere, approx. two to three times more, actually. That being said, it will save a minimum of 10 hours of traveling time (if all connections line up perfectly) which you could be far better used exploring ancient capitals, boating down breathtaking waterways or enjoying the unbelievable German beers and sausages.
Direct flights from New York City to Prague or Vienna
If you are attending a romantic wedding in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic or your trip starts there, you will surely appreciate the services of Delta Airlines, the only company which runs non-stop flights between over 4000 miles far apart JFK and Vaclav Havel Airport, Prague. Unfortunately, Delta Airlines does not operate any direct flights off-season yet.
On the other hand, it will take you just under 9 hours to fly directly from New York to Vienna all year around. Business Class travelers will also be pleasantly surprised by a chef who prepares meals on board when using Austrian Airlines AG.
Direct flights from New York City to Warsaw and Budapest
Polish airlines LOT will put a smile on your face when you will find out that it takes only 8-9 hours to fly from New York to Warsaw, the Polish capital. LOT gets many mixed reviews, but there is no mix up with them between safety and reliability. They are one of the world’s operating airlines for reasons!
LOT has also recently announced that direct Budapest flights will be re-launched with service to New York starting in May 2018.
Direct flights from the USA to Croatia
Direct flights to Zagreb and Dubrovnik in Croatia from the USA look likely to be launched in 2018 too. “We are in serious negotiations over the introduction of year-long flights from Croatia to New York, most likely from Zagreb and Dubrovnik, even from Split”, announced just recently by Minister Gari Cappelli.
Direct flights from Chicago to Munich, Warsaw, and Vienna
Chicago is the third-most populous city in the United States so it is no surprise that there are several direct flights to many Central European hubs.
If your European adventure starts in Warsaw, book a flight direct from Chicago O'Hare International Airport – Terminal 5 to Warsaw. The flight takes approx. 9-10 hours making it the fastest flight on this route.
You can also fly nonstop from ORD to beautiful Imperial city of Vienna in Austria on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The planes take off from Chicago at 4.20 pm and land in Vienna at 8.25 am the next day.
Direct flight from Washington DC to Munich
Visit Bavaria´s capital this spring for prices starting at 491 USD per round trip from Washington to Munich and enjoy Oktoberfest´s little brother Springfest (Frühlingsfest). Expect copious amounts of beer and food, funfairs, fireworks, music, and an all-around festive atmosphere.
Direct flight from Miami and Los Angeles to Munich
Enjoy yourselves during direct, comfortable flights. If you know about other direct connections from the USA to Central Europe, leave a comment below. We will be more than happy to add them to our list!
