We have just returned from a trip to Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Budapest. We used Go Real Europe and everything went perfectly. David is the perfect organiser and we followed his detailed instructions easily. As others have said, he even supplies the public transport tickets! All our hotels were in great locations and had a bit of character. The local guides who gave us orientation tours in each city were terrific-in Budapest, Gabriella even drove us around in her car as it was too hot to walk.We loved being able to do a tour, without being on a bus and having to fit in to a schedule-this is the way to travel!Read more on TripAdvisor...
My wife, Stacey and I were excited about traveling to Europe but, frankly, are not one to do it with a bunch of people we don't know, stuck to an itinerary we don't like, and a schedule that is too stringent. Upon some investigation, we came up with a gentleman/company that arranges exclusive, private tour itineraries with a choice of 4-8 different cities, based on your schedule.
It was, without hesitation, the best decision we made and was the best vacation the two of us have ever had. No detail was left out, and yet we had the ability to do what we wanted to, when we wanted to. David's itineraries are incredible and his level of planning was perfect. He had the best hotels, based on our preferences, and made sure we got between destinations seamlessly. We had a private tour in each city...my wife, myself and the tour guide. This was fantastic. I've never had this luxury before. The tour guides in Europe are highly educated and go at your pace. This wasn't only a vacation, it was a detailed examination in the history of each city, it's culture, and it's past. When you purchase the trip, based on a series of questions David asks you, you receive a very detailed, and long, itinerary, spelling each day out. You can stick to it, or modify it, as you please. We did a combination of both. He provides professionally prepared custom maps of each city, that works in concert with your itinerary, to direct you to the best and most interesting of each city. (Make sure you study them before arriving). Restaurant suggestions were also wonderful. I also truly appreciated David being available via telephone during our trips when we had a question. I could go on but, suffice to say, I would recommend David and GoRealEurope without hesitation. I welcome anyone to contact me with questions.Read more on Facebook...
It was only by accident I lucked into the perfect tour company for our trip - Go Real Europe. In surfing around the internet I saw many self-directed and semi-directed options for this tour, but nothing quite popped. Then I found Go Real Europe and was instantly impressed. Owner David Manley specializes in this part of the world and has an excellent knowledge of what is available. You could get a sample itinerary right away that gave you an idea of what there was to see and do. You put in the length of time, where you want to go and an idea of the focus - history, active, arts, etc. Bang - there was a suggested way to spend your time in each city. I am home a week from our trip to Prague, Vienna and Budapest with my daughter. It’s hard for me to put into words how wonderful this trip was. I wanted to write to thank you for all of your help in setting it up and the decisions you helped me make. It was truly guided. Everything went smoothly. The only glitch was when we didn’t read where to meet our guide in Vienna at the right place, but she was great and came to our hotel and got us. We had a great time in Vienna. We spent two days looking at some of the most beautiful art in the world and playing in the gardens and fountains of the Belvedere. Budapest was incredible. It is a beautiful city and we were there at the right time in terms of the weather and magic of the Danube and all of the buildings lit up at night. All of your guides were wonderful, knowledgeable and personable.
Thank you again for your help. I can’t say enough about Go Real Europe.
Here is a poem I wrote that I hope lets you feel what this trip meant to me.
River Danube curves snake like between
The Chain bridge gateway to the city straddles across.
It’s arches strung with lights like a necklace of lit pearls
Luminescent seagulls fly above the Parliament building
its domes and spiers dominating the riverbank
Half moon hangs low above the Royal Palace
reminiscent of a golden age.
Grandmother, your granddaughters have come to know you in this city of your birth.
Hi Martin and David,
We arrived home in Boston last evening after a busy eight days of travelling in Prague, Vienna and Budapest. We can’t thank you enough for the detailed plans, maps and suggestions. It really felt that someone was holding our hands and showing us around. We had all the excitement of discovering foreign lands, with none of the problems that can happen while negotiating unfamiliar places. In fact, all the cities felt like home within a few hours of arriving and exploring.
All three hotels were in excellent locations to help us get to the chief attractions within a few minutes walk. Having metro/tram/bus stops nearby was an added bonus, and our lives were made easier by having the public transportation tickets and your detailed instructions on how to use them. We made very good use of the tickets, and even went to the Vienna train station from our hotel by metro. We dropped off 13 unused tickets from Budapest at the reception in Hotel Casati, and hopefully you will receive them soon.
The airport and train station transfers went off smoothly and in timely fashion. I also want to specially mention the guides we had at the three cities. Marie in Prague, Brigitte (not sure about the spelling) in Vienna and Dorka in Budapest won our hearts with their friendliness, extensive knowledge and helpful hints. The extensive guided tours not only gave us an in-depth look at what we were seeing, but also helped us to move more easily around and decide what we wanted to focus on. Please do thank them again on our behalf.
We loved the Hotel Kampa Garden in Prague for both the location and the ambience and comfort of the room (we got a suite with a separate space for our daughters). The Continental in Vienna was interesting; a little cramped, but fine for a couple of days stay, and its location was fantastic. We also really enjoyed the Casati’s funky décor and its proximity to the metro and tourist attractions. All three hotels were friendly and helpful in providing us breakfast for our daughter’s allergy needs.
The only time we had a bit of a hiccup was trying to find the right platform at the Prague railway station…. It took a bit to figure out that the escalators went into different platforms, as we had never come across this before. But after that it was easy in Vienna to do the same thing, and your directions also mentioned this specifically for Wien Railway station.
We enjoyed an afternoon at the Heurige you mentioned at Grinzing and were happy with your wine recommendations, though we didn’t end up going to the vineyard. It wasn’t clear to us how to go to the vineyards, and after walking around a lot on a warm day, we lacked the energy to make more enquiries. My family was also enjoying Budapest so much that we didn’t do the Szentendere trip, though we did the Danube cruise with Duna Yacht that you recommended. In fact, one ticket was good for two trips on two consecutive days, which was a pleasant surprise.
Thank you so much again. If we ever have a chance to go back again, hopefully we can discover more gems to explore in this area.
Good Luck to Go Real Europe!!
Just to report that our trip to Cesky Krumlov was a great success - thank you to you and Martin for all you did to help us and make it happen.
The bus trips were very comfortable, the hotel very elegant and comfortable and we enjoyed Karolina, our guide. She was very good but it was also nice to have a conversation with a local person.
And Chris' drivers have also been excellent. We would have messed up if left on our own to get to the Prague bus station.
Again our thanks. We will recommend your agency to friends.

We could not be more pleased with Go Real Europe! You took the guess work out of things like public transport but still managed to allow us the freedom to tour as we wanted. Our guides were exceptional and every time I saw a Viking Cruise tour of 25 people, I realized the quality experience we were getting with Go Real Europe. The Hotel Savoy was lovely, but hot. I've learned that I really do want air conditioning in every hotel ! Our apt in Budapest was great and the view is one of my favorite memories of that incredible city. The delay from Cesky Krumlov was not a big deal as we loved the boat ride down the Danube ... still saw Melk Abby quickly and enjoyed a stop at Durnstein to taste the local wine. I'm telling all my friends and family that Go Real Europe is the way to travel hassle free in Central Europe, so I hope you get more business. We had dinner last eve with Adrianne McKinney, and she and her son also loved their trip. Mark and I hope to travel through Spain next summer. I just wish there was a Go Real Spain! Many thanks for putting together an awesome trip for us. Kind regards, Bev, Mark, Julia and Nelson
Jan- we have returned from our fantastic adventure Go Real has planned for us and our friends, Bob and Dottie Howell. We so very much enjoyed and reveled in everything about the trip. Your thoughtful and carefully planned itinerary was a wonder for us and we tried to keep up the pace to see and do almost all of the journey.
The only comment we will make is the Leonardo hotel in Cesky was not up to the same standards as the Casati in Budapest and Savic in Prague, both of which were very nice indeed. Perhaps there might be another choice in Cesky for future travelers?
Thank you so much for all the careful planning and details, and we wish to especially thank Petr for the wonderful hike day outside Prague. It made our last day especially memorable.
I am still surprised how everything worked as planned, without a hitch. All instructions in your itinerary were precise and correct. Your suggestions and comments in each of the locations we went to were very helpful. All your guides, without exception, were wonderful and exactly on time.
I will recommend you to all my friends!
Thank you so much for planning our trip! We were able to fit so much into such a short period of time & we loved the cute hotels that you had picked out. An additional thank you for helping out with our lost keys and iPads too! Haha We'll make sure recommend you to any of our friends heading in that direction.
I want to thank you for all you did to make our trip to Cesky Krumlov, Prague and Budapest so memorable. We had a wonderful time in all three cities, in great part due to:
- Super hotels in locations convenient to all the sites, with friendly and accommodating staffs and excellent breakfasts to get us going each day.
- Tour guides who were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful.
- The transportation arrangements, public transport tickets, maps, directions and instructions that you provided, which made getting from place to place in complicated cities much easier.
- Your excellent guidance on things to do and places to see when we were on own.
- Your responsiveness and dependability during the months-long planning process, which helped us gear up for the trip and feel well-prepared.
Yes, unfortunately, we had some glitches along the way. But, when things didn't go as expected, you were quick to step in and help and to take responsibility when it was called for. Once we got over the hump, everything went pretty smoothly.
You have an excellent business in Go Real Europe, and I will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone I know who is traveling to the countries on your itineraries. I really hope you get to expand into other countries is the near future!
It was a great trip to Cesky Krumlov despite the rain. It did not rain Sunday am when we had the great hike and final trip around Cesky Krumlov. The guides were top notch. I felt we really got to know and experience this unique medieval village. The driver/guide back to Prague was not as articulate in English but we managed ok. He certainly took us on a great ride thru many interesting villages as well as a stop at the castle. It was truly a memorable trip and efficiently planned. Thanks so very much for arranging it and also helping Rebecca. We would never have enjoyed the trip, or gotten so much out of it, had it not been for your help!
All went well with the bus trip to Karlovy Vary. John and I had a good time hiking the trails there. It is a very pretty town. I am at the airport right now for the return flight. Thank you for your arrangements. John and I enjoyed being able to mingle with the local people, taking the public transportation, talking to local tour guides, able to have a glimpse of the history and the way of life here. Wish you all the best with you and your family and your business.
Want to thank you for arranging a wonderful vacation for us once again. Everything went very well. All of your directions were spot on. Trains were easy to travel on. Hotels lovely (we especially enjoyed the one in Vienna). The Rickshaw ride in Salzburg was great. It was certainly a plus to have them pick us up at the hotel. The young girl who drove us around was quite knowledgeable and fun!
My wife and I just returned from an incredible trip to Prague, Cesky Krumluv, Salzburg, Vienna, Budapest, and Krakow. This very complicated trip could not have been accomplished without the efforts of David Manley of Go Real Europe. We cannot say enough about his attention to detail and his expertise in selecting some of the most interesting hotels in Central Europe. Besides being in the heart of the tourist areas these hotels provided wonderful rooms and outstanding breakfasts. The customer service was perfect as well. His customized itineraries as well as his maps and tour guides made this a memorable vacation. During the planning of this trip David was always there to give excellent expertise and aspects of the trip. We cannot so enough about his customer service especially when we needed him while in Salzburg. David actually met us at our hotel and directed us to where to we had to go. This was really special and saved us a lot of time. David is a wonderful person to deal with and is honest and has a high level of character. Anyone looking to go on their own to the above cities in Central Europe should use Go Real Europe!!
As an experienced traveler accustomed to making my own itineraries and travel arrangements I admit that I was leery about using an outside agency for my girlfriend’s and my 12-night, 4-city vacation thru Eastern Europe. But working with David Manley at Go Real Europe was worth every penny……and our vacation was memorable, exceeding all my expectations. Below are a few reasons why we were so delighted to have worked with David: First….our vacation involved getting in and out of 4 cities in 4 countries….researching any one of these cities would have been time consuming, let alone doing the same job for 4 cities…..also, with distinct language and currency issues, we relied on David for getting all the details resolved, arranging for drivers who were reliable and stationed exactly as David mentioned they’d be…..to say nothing of helping us navigate the Vienna metro and trains both to get around the city easily, as well as to take side trips to Grinzing, Melk and Krems with no hassle or mishap. Second….outstanding hotel accomodations….aside from being superbly located in easy walking distance of all city attractions and restaurants, each place I also recommended highly for the quality of rooms, service and breakfast. Third…..David’s guides were OUTSTANDING….and the itineraries were structured in a manner that our guided tours were well-spaced for our needs….leaving us plenty of time to explore other sites on our own….in every case the guide was extremely knowledgeable, informative and engaging, giving us as much time to ask questions or explore sites as we needed…..we felt that we’d sat in a college course learning each country’s history and culture, which greatly enhanced the appreciation we had for each. Fourth….GREAT VALUE…..even factoring in what we consider a modest fee, David’s package was significantly less than what we’d have otherwise paid on our own….the total cost of our trip was under our budget and we still had the added value of all David’s excellent recommendations. Fifth…..David has a passion for what he does and will go to the “nth” degree to satisfy his clients….prior to the trip I had so many questions and concerns that the logistics would go awry…..which David alleviated with quick, substantive responses….mostly by email, but by phone as well…he called us again after we’d arrived to see how we were doing and whether we needed anything else…..and we had the pleasure of meeting David in person before we left Vienna. From a standpoint of support, value, detailed planning and expert insight, David was superb. Feel free to call or email me to discuss my memorable Eastern Europe vacation with Go Real Europe.
David, we are heading home tomorrow and just wanted to let you know it was a great trip. Thank you ! Your itinerary was wonderful, the directions were great. Our Budapest guide Edith shared personal and family memories of Budapest during the 1956 revolt and under the Communist regime that made the guided tour so poignant and moving. We had a great time. If and when we travel this way again, I'll definitely contact you. Again, thank you for a wonderful trip.
Hi David, We are home, safe and sound and just have to deal with the “jet-lag” now. Roger and I would like to thank you for your fabulous organisation of our trip. Everything went like clockwork and your instructions were very easy to follow. We were especially impressed with the local guides in each city, who not only gave us great tours but also gave us a great insight into life and living conditions in each place. We didn’t do all the suggested trips as towards the end, the heat was getting a bit overwhelming-it seemed to get hotter as we moved from country to country!.however, everything we did we thoroughly enjoyed and already having great maps and our public transport tickets made life so much easier. We would have no hesitation in recommending you and your company to anyone.Best wishes for the future-if ever we travel in that area again we will certainly check out Go Real Europe!
Marsha, Chris, and I want to thank you for everything that you did for us on our ventures in Vienna. Just like our trip to the Czech Republic four years ago everything was well organized and easy to follow. Our accommodations were wonderful, the location was perfect and we cant thank you enough for making Vienna the highlight of our European trip. We will use you again when the urge to travel in Europe hits us again. Take care and have a good summer. Rick and Marsha Priester and Chris Richards
My husband and I have never been to Eastern/Central Europe and had no idea where to start. We did lots of research and comparisons between GRE and other tour groups/travel agents. We decided to go with David and have only positive feedback to give! From the beginning, the planning was conducted thouroughly and thoughtfully according to our expectations and preferences. When we received the full itinerary, we were shocked at the detail provided and realized that we had chosen well. During our trip, this realization was reinforced with each tour arranged by David, each sight we saw and every guide we met. Hana in Prague, with Petr to Krivoklat Castle, biking with Karolina through Trebon, Katalin in Budapest, and going through the horrors of Hungarys history with Ildiko...every single event was so personal and special that we are unable to choose a favorite. The entire trip was our favorite and we can only hope that our future travels to other foreign places can measure up. David, you did an excellent job for us and we have been talking about you and GoRealEurope every chance we get. Much thanks and we hope that our recommendations find their way to you and the continued success of your brilliant company!
Just got back this morning and I wanted to thank you for helping us create a FANTASTIC trip. We loved all the cities we visited but especially Prague. The tours you set up for us and the self-guided ones were great. We even had Gabriella set up a guided tour of the Jewish Quarter in Budapest. Using your guidelines and tickets we became pro’s at navigating the public transit systems, something we would not even have considered. Again thanks for all your help. Joe, Denise, Susan and Mark
Now that we're back home and have had some time to catch-up with life, I wanted to thank you one more time. We are so glad that we used Go Real Europe for the portion of our trip in Hungary and the Czech Republic. From the moment we landed in Budapest, everything went exactly as described on the itinerary. The person who picked us up at the airport was waiting when we arrived and we had a wonderful ride in a very nice BMW to the KK Opera Hotel. The hotel was in a great location and the staff was very professional and helpful. Our room was quite small and had no view, but no complaints since we knew we would not be spending a lot of time there. The bed was very comfortable, everything was clean, the breakfasts were delicious (although crowded a couple of mornings due to a couple of Rick Steves tour groups). We are so happy that we decided to have you arrange a tour guide for our first morning in Budapest. In the four hours that we spent with her, she not only showed us many major sites with excellent commentary, but we used the Metro and the buses with her, which gave us the confidence to do so on our own over the next few days. She also gave us excellent recommendations for places to eat which we really appreciated. (Menza, Cafe Kor, and Corso are three that we particularly liked). We had no issues getting the train tickets with the confirmation number you gave us for our departure from Budapest. Once again our transportation to Cesky Krumlov was waiting for us as scheduled at the Linz train station. We had a pleasant trip to Cesky Krumlov and we're glad we made this diversion from our original plans, even though it rained the whole time we were there. The hotel was so historic, the staff very accommodating and the views from our room were spectacular. The bus ride to Prague the next day was a little more challenging since there were delays in the departure due to the flooding and the staff at the bus station didn't seem to know what was going on. We even met a fellow passenger who was waiting for the same bus who spoke the language, and she was told that the bus was delayed for 2 hours. You had told us that it would be an hour late, so we decided to stay at the station ( a pretty depressing place!) and wait. We are so glad we did. Your information was correct. We felt bad for the woman we had befriended who had left the station to go to a cafe, expecting a two hour delay. Once we got on the bus, we had a very nice ride. It was as luxurious as a bus trip can be. Our friendly driver was waiting for us at the Prague bus station and actually met us as we walked away from the bus with our luggage. So we didn't have to deal with the options listed in your itinerary of crossing the street to look for him, etc. The hotel in Prague was absolutely perfect...great location, extremely friendly staff, and really nice rooms. My husband and I were upgraded to a larger room. Must have been due to your relationship with them.... thanks!!! The breakfast at this hotel was the best of all the hotels we stayed in. I loved that they offered cappuccino as well as espresso and coffee. Not to mention that they also had a Nespresso machine in the room. I also wanted to thank you again for getting me that phone charger. I decided to keep it for all my future European trips. We really saw the impact of the floods in Prague. But I would say that the only things we weren't able to do was walk the Charles Bridge and take the funicular. Other than that, we walked all over town, and I think took the trams only twice, when we went up to the castle and monastery. One of our favorite restaurants in Prague was Italian, I believe the name was Al Dente. All in all, we had a great experience in Eastern Europe and we owe it all to you and Go Real Europe. The language barrier could have been intimidating but with the services that you provided, we were able to ease into each new environment so we never felt that way at all. I know that Trip Advisor doesn't have a rating system for tour companies, but I will mention Go Real Europe in some of my postings and hopefully that will convey to others our satisfaction with your company.
Just a quick note to let you know that I am back home now after probably the best overseas holiday that I have ever had, in no small part due to your very capable organization booking of hotels, tours trains. There was just nothing that went wrong with the timings etc., notwithstanding the relatively minor disruptions due to the floods. In fact, I was able to see parts of Austria by bus that I wouldn't have seen from the train. My thanks to the guides Hana, Petr Edith who were all friendly, knowledgeable spoke good English.
My sister, Ann Ibberson, and I have been back home for a few weeks now and still go on and on about our fabulous trip. We were just blown away in every respect. Given the fact that we only had 1 ½ weeks, you had everything arranged for us so efficiently and your contacts who we dealt with for transfers, tours, hotels were extremely professional and personable. Things could not have gone better. And Prague – I just love Prague! I already hope to go back some day in the not too distant future and next time, bring my husband along. I also want to let you know how impressed I was at you getting back to us when we were stuck in a rainstorm at the State Opera. And then checking to see if we made it back to the hotel – David, you’re a real class act! Thank you again for everything.
Our trip was to Prague, Cesky Krumlov and Vienna was a wonderful experience thanks to Go Real Europe. Everything was planned to the T for us. There was a guided tour each time we reached these cities and that worked very well because it gave us an overview of the city. Transportation tickets were included as well as directions to the main sights. I felt secure, as well, because David was always available to call if there were any problems. I highly recommend Go Real and I plan to use it again in the future.
On behalf of Walt and I and the rest of our group of eight, I would like to thank you for organizing such an amazing trip for us. Everything went perfectly (other than getting rained out for our bike trip on the Danube!). The hotels were perfectly located. The guides in each city were amazing—the best we’ve ever had. Shuttles and trains between the cities went smoothly, and your maps and restaurant recommendations were spectacular. We wouldn’t have seen half of what we did if we had tried to organize it ourselves. Even having the public transit tickets and your instructions made getting around so easy. We would love to post some comments on travel advisory websites about Go Real Europe. Is there any you would like us to post comments on? We have nothing but good things to say about your company. We just hope you expand to include more cities so we can take advantage of your expertise. Thank you again for everything. We had such a fabulous time that it will be hard to ever plan another trip ourselves!
David, we would like to thank you for planning a nearly perfect trip for us. Each city was amazing and the tour guides in Prague, Cesky Krumlov, Vienna and Budapest were absolute gems. Everything that was promised on our 108 page itinerary went far beyond our expectations. We loved our hikes and bike rides. Each hotel was exactly what we like, lots of charm and in excellent locations. THANK You! We have spread the word about your planning expertise!
I can't say enough positive praiseworthy remarks about our experience! Your planning and preparation was exceptional. I have traveled to many countries and now wish you had planned my visits. Your were extremely thorough and covered every aspect of the trip. I felt comfortable with every new location. You listened to all my "want to see" and interests and turned them into a reality with additional suggestions. I was impressed with the guides you scheduled for us and in particular the guide in Budapest. Her son, Robert was exceptional and full of knowledge beyond a routine city tour. We had a delightful few hours with him. All your attention to detail and turn by turn directions made our trip relaxing and free from worry. I appreciated your availability when I had a question also. Being aware that weather changes would affect some of the planned activities, the alternative ideas and suggestions were beneficial to the few days of spontaneous planning. I have highly recommended your services to all my friends. My only disappointment is that you do not cover more countries. I would definately use your company again and again! Thank you for a superior service!
Our trip was amazing!! Thank you so much for the great itinerary. The transportation went perfectly. The shuttle driver from Prague to Cesky was super - and thank you for adding Cesky Krumlov to the list - what a magical village. The Christmas markets were in full swing and we enjoyed them in every city we went to. By the way, we had the best dinner of the trip our last night at the restaurant at the Hotel Konig von Ungarn!! Great staff there, excellent service and great food and drink. The bartender there actually knew how to make a great Manhattan!! My sister is planning a trip - I've given her your name and contact info. Thanks again.
I just wanted to thank you for organizing an amazing trip for me – I packed in so much in such a short period of time and everything was just perfect. The way you do things makes it possible to really get to know the destination, which for me as a travel agent could not have been better. Prague is I think the most beautiful city I have ever seen. I must say that I really enjoyed my trip to Karlovy Vary as well and that I am very glad that I did do it. Petr and Hana were great and I really appreciate the time they spent in guiding me to Kutna Hora and Prague Castle. I now need a 'holiday' after this trip but it was all worth while. Kindest regards and thank you for everything.
I want to say thanks to Go Real Europe for making my first trip overseas a fun and unforgettable expericence. From my first phone call from David back in July 2012 to the driver dropping me off at the airport for my flight home, GRE had ALL the bases covered. The city map, metro tickets, hotel choices, and of course the detailed itinerary with complete directions., all first rate. David was out of town while I was there, and my trip hit a small snag with a hotel trying to double-bill me. Well I had a GRE contact who I called and he made everything right within a day and even bought me dinner for my trouble! Thanks Petr, I hope the fish are biting for you! Im telling all my friends about the great time I had in Prague and the great service GRE provided. If I ever go back to Europe, I know who I am calling to set up another unforgettable vacation. Thanks again guys!
We arrived home last night - weary but very happy! The trip could not of been better and it is thanks to Go Real Europe and your good advice, and planning. Sorry for any trauma we caused you - but I can tell you it was a warm blanket for me to know you were there. 14 people can be daunting. They all loved it - and you. Cannot rave enough about the Hotel Savic and the staff. The Hotel Ruze also - and their staff. Again, we will all sing your praises to the highest. Take good care of Prague - it is a gem.
We had a wonderful time in Prague and Vienna! Our hotel in Prague was exceptional. The hotel staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast was way more than I could have asked for. They assisted us in making dinner reservations one evening and it turned out perfectly. Our room was comfortable, quiet and clean! :) We could not have asked for more! After moving around the city for a few short days it was great to get out on the bikes into the countryside! We loved Petr and really enjoyed the bike trip planned for us. We are in okay shape, but nothing like him. He definitely challenged us which we both love! Cycling with Petr was the highlight of our trip. We enjoyed talking to him about all the places he has cycled and he made us promise to come back for more adventure, maybe some kayaking or something of that sort. The only problem is the 1 year 4 year old kids we have, they usually keep us pretty close to home! It was really great to meet you for few brief moments at the train station. It is always helpful to put a face with a name and a voice! Our transfer to the train station was seamless. And the train trip in 2nd class was perfect! I can't imagine that 1st class would have offered anything of necessity for such a short trip. Vienna was also a beautiful city. We spent a lot of time walking everywhere. A couple of highlights of Vienna were the museum of fine arts, the Belvedere, and walking around in the evening near the Town Hall and Parliament. The buildings are beautifully lit up at night! Our hotel was enough for what we needed and the breakfast was sufficient. We also liked the boat trip on the Danube. We almost skipped it because I was tired and didn't really want to go through the effort of trying to figure out the trains and boats, but William gave me a little push and I so did it. What a beautiful day, and perfect weather! We met 2 nice couples that made the time in Melk very nice as well as the boat trip. We didn't get off at any of the stops, and because we were short on time we went directly to the train station in Krems. We ended up skipping Grinzing and decided to go to the opera instead. We bought tickets from the guys dressed up on the street and got totally scammed, but we enjoyed the evening! ;) That's what we get for going off the plan! The trip was very short, but a long time to be away from the kids. We had a blast and will recommend you to anyone we know coming to the areas you serve. Thanks again for helping us.
We had a great time! We made it home safe last night and we are going through Europe withdrawal already missing all the wonderful sights, people and times we had, time just flew by!! Thank you for everything. The hotels were great, we really enjoyed each one. We liked all the tours and the guides. All the details made it very easy and comfortable the entire trip. Thank you again for everything.
We had a great time on our trip. Your recommendations on restaurants, hotels, and other tips were spot on. We especially enjoyed the cuisine in the Czech Republic,it was one of our favorite things about Prague. We loved Prague at night, actually we could have used another day in Prague. The people were very nice, especially our driver Peter, He went out of his way to show us his village and waited for us with a smile. Loved the hotels, especially the suite in Prague. The Hotel Konig von Ungarn in Vienna was a pleasant surprise, as we didn't realize it was so close to where Mozart lived and that he might have dined at the hotel. The Hotel Leonardo in Cesky Krumlov was so very quaint, except I got the room facing the street, with no A/C, but other than that the town was beautiful and magical. It was a beautiful and memorable trip for us, and I would definitely not hesitate to recommend you and if we do go to Europe again, we hope you can help us out again. Do keep in touch and thanks for making our family trip one to remember.
Hi, David, I had a great time! The trip was wonderful. The guides were great. The arrangements for transfers were perfect. What I really liked was being able to call you when I needed help or advice. Priceless as they say! I just had one of the best vacations I ever had thanks to your advice and planning and suggestions. The directions were supurb. The detail really helped as those streets could get very confusing very fast. When I was going places without the directions I found it very confusing at times because I get lost easily and turned around easily. By the time I left Vienna however I felt very confident. I often changed things around and spent more time in one area than the plan called for, but its directions and descriptions made that possible and made those changes pleasurable and brought me what I wanted to see and do without getting lost. Creating a plan can be really, really tough, but altering it when you have a master plan like yours was so much easier to do when I wanted to do so. For example I found I did need more downtime than the plan called for. I knew going in that would most likely be true and it was. So I missed a few things, but I also added some great things - like the garden around the Castle in Prague. I had a couple of really delightful hours exploring that and reading all the tree signs. It was one of the best times I had. The gardens in Vienna that you said could be missed really were disappointing and I didn't spend any time at all in them... I saw a wonderful Lipizzaner show. Another highlight for me! But I was that horse crazy little girl a long time ago who loved lipizzaners 60 years ago... All in all a delightful great time and I know I couldnt have done it without your guidance. So thanks David. And thanks for checking with me as well. Any time you need a reference have them get in touch with me. You have my vote!
Thank you for the excellent arrangements and services. Everything worked just fine. All transfers, pickups, cars etc. were perfect. We were very pleased with the hotels and locations. Please let us know if you expand to any other destinations in Europe. I will recommend you anytime.
My sister and I had a GREAT time and much of that was due to your services. While I was worried about what we would find, having just found you on the Internet, I was really pleased with the quality and location of the hotels, the itinerary and directions provided, especially the step-by-step instructions, the detailed maps and the tour guides. While each of the three tour guides was very informative, we have to give special praise to our guide for the Turmoil and Terror tour - not only did she adapt the tours to our wishes as we had seen some of what the scheduled tour was to cover, but, being a local citizen who had person experience with matters that she was discussing, certainly added to our understanding of Budapest. Going with G.R.E. was certainly the right choice for my sister and I.
Just wanted to say Hi and let you know that were safely back at home in Raleigh, NC. We got back on Thursday evening. Our trip was absolutely wonderful!!! We fell in love with Prague, and also liked Vienna, but not as much. We felt Prague was more accessible beautiful. All the hotels were very comfortable and in great locations. All the guides met us on time and were very professional and well prepared. The driver who picked us up in Cesky Krumlov was excellent too. Cesky Krumlov was absolutely delightful. We didnt follow your itinerary step by step, but did use it constantly as a reference guide. Your descriptions and explanations, and especially directions were extremely clear and easy to follow. Wed be happy to recommend your services to anyone who asks about traveling to Eastern Europe and please feel free to use us as a reference anytime. Were so glad you helped us plan our trip and helped to make us feel very comfortable and well taken care of. Thanks and best wishes.
It has been a few weeks since we have returned from our trip to Prague, Vienna and Budapest, but we have not forgotten the wonderful time we had due to your 'Go Real Europe' program. If we had any reluctance before we started the trip it quickly disappeared once we arrived and were met at the airport and started to follow our planned itinerary. Prior to this trip we have always made our own arrangements and traveled alone. Your services proved to be very helpful. We were amazed at your attention to detail and the quantity and quality of the information. For example the various modes of transportation, trains, car rental, subway, bus and taxis were all easy to access. The iphone was a real plus for us even though we had a limited amount of iphone experience prior to the trip. We might suggest having a short instructional session available the first day for those who might want it. We know we experienced many more things than we would have on our own and were able to spend as much time as we wanted to on the recommended sites. We can't say enough positive things about having individual guides. Our favorite and a special surprise was the substitute guide the day we took the bus from Prague to hike in the countryside. All our guides were well informed, pleasant and patient. We are recommending Go Real Europe to all our friends and we hope you broaden your horizons to other parts of Europe so we can use your services again.
Greetings from Baltimore, Maryland. David, we had such a wonderful vacation. Thank you! Everything was grand, the detailed itinerary, the tours, the wonderful guides and the hotels. We did so much and wanted to do and see so much more but tiredness and time didn't permit. Oh well, guess we must return someday. I've been telling everyone about Go Real Europe. You and your staff do a fantastic job!
Dear David … this is long overdue but better late than never. Please do forgive me for my "gross" tardiness but it went off my radar, however am finally getting my act back together :))) I did not want to pass up the opportunity of commending you for assisting guiding us in planning a wonderful itenerary in Prague in August 2010. Prague is an amazing and historic city with such impressive architecture. The wealth of information you provided in our personalized itenerary, on navigating us through the public transportation systems including the directions to follow in getting to the attractions was extremely detailed and useful. We felt comfortable being on our own. We were especially pleased with the Savic hotel you recommend as the location was perfect, and very convenient to the center of most activities. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and personable. Petr is true a nature junkie and I enjoyed every bit of keeping up with his fast stride and listening to his adventures in south america. If only I had more time to do some more hiking with him !!! It was reassuring to be in constant touch whenever we needed you via the cell phone you provided which truly came in handy … It felt good to know you were watching our backs especially when Reg came down with a nasty flu … the doctor’s visit certainly helped. Also the restaurant you recommended for my birthday was exceptional. Reg I would definitely recommend Go Real Europe. David is very caring, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. His personalized service is second to none. A huge THANK YOU for everything you did for us.
Sorry it took me so long to say thank you for organizing a wonderful trip. I have a great time. You did a great job on your choices of hotel, sites and directions. The directions were great and very accurate. It was so easy going from one place to another and getting around to all the sites. We could not have done it without your help. The tour of old Vienna was excellent and the guide was very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. The hotel in Salzburg was great and the staff was wonderful. They found out it was my birthday and left a bottle sparkling wine and breadsticks in my room with a card wishing me a happy birthday. It was very thoughtful of them to do it and I greatly appreciated it. Thank you for making my trip unforgettable.
Hi David. Thanks for the email. We just got back to Portland last night after a long travel day, so are trying to readjust to west coast time. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and loved both Prague and Vienna! We definitely were on the move, but had enough time to explore both cities. Your directions and instructions were excellent and much appreciated. They made using the metro and train very easy. We especially liked the Hotel Savic in Prague and would rank it among our favorite places to stay in Europe. The transfers and pick ups were also a big plus and went off without a hitch. The map of Prague you gave us also very helpful. The guides were also very good and knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed Hanna. We are more than willing to serve as a reference if that would be helpful and would highly recommend your services. Again, all in all a great trip! Thank you very much!
David: Great trip and great job with preparing our itinerary to fit our goals. As experienced travelers, you designed the trip for comfort yet we were able to maintain our independence. We actually followed your plan to the letter. Look forward to you assisting us again.
My visit to Prague was made multiples better by the excellent service and detailed directions from Go Real Europe. Their knowledge of specific directions was invaluable to me during my short visit to this beautiful city. I found the directions to be very important as I do not speak Czech and the personalization of the service was excellent, especially as the old streets start to mashup and maps become too difficult. The suggestions to visit the “not so obvious” places made the visit much better than any experience from the standard tour books. I recommend Go Real Europe if you are visiting any of the destinations they cover.
When I was in the Navy, we traveled often from port to port. It always took us a few days to get acclimated to our new surroundings and finally figure out how to get around town. When I found out that I was going to go on a class trip to Prague with my business school class, I knew that I would have a limited time to see everything while in country. I would not have the time to explore on my own so I needed an expert that knew the lay of the land and knew the most cost effective ways to get around the city without wasting time and money. I reached out to Go Real Europe for help. They came highly recommended through a mutual friend. They were able to provide me with great inside information anywhere from how much I should expect to pay for a ride from the airport to my hotel to where the best places to eat and have a good time were located. My experience was phenomenal. Prague is an amazing and a historic city. I know that I would not have been able to enjoy it as much without Go Real Europes thorough and detailed information all about the city. If you are looking for a true travel expert in Prague, then you should look no further than Go Real Europe. I definitely plan to recommend him to all my friends that are planning trips to Europe. Since my time in Prague was not as long as I would have preferred, I know that I will go back someday. When I do go back, I will look no further than Go Real Europe for all my travel needs.
Prague is undoubtedly one of the most unique cities I have ever visited, full of impressive architecture and unique history. Thank you for making all the arrangements and all the special attention you gave us. We hope to revisit and there's no doubt we will recommend you highly to our friends as an efficient, capable, caring organizer.
I just wanted to tell you personally that the trip and every aspect of the planning with your assistance was wonderful. We had a group of 6 ladies from the New York area ranging from ages 23 to 85...not an easy group to plan for! Unfortunately we had some cold weather, but Prague is a beautiful city. From the detailed itinerary to the restaurant recommendations, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would never hesitate to refer any family and/or friends to use Go Real Europe. You were always available and most helpful. What a pleasure working with you! THANK YOU.
David, what can I say that I have not said before. Go Real Europe is amazing. Your attention to detail is not to be believed. From the moment we arrived at our hotel in Prague, and found you waiting to greet us, to the last phone call at our hotel in Budapest to insure that the driver was there to take us to the airport proved that YOU ARE THE BEST at what you do. You know how much time I took to research all that we wanted to see in the three cities we were to visit. Go Real Europe added so much more, including the private tours, the restaurants, the places out of the city that made this trip the best ever. I have been to Europe 19 times, 7 in the past 3 years. I have traveled alone, with friends, with my wife, with groups, and escorted tours. YOUR way of traveling, I have to admit, is the best. David, the best of luck to you. If anyone wants to call me about your tours, my phone number in NY (toll free) is 1 888 676 8433. My email is email@example.com. Anyone who books with another tour group and not Go Real Europe will miss out on the best European experience around.
We recently booked a tour of the Czech Republic through Go Real Europe. When the prospect first came up, I was a bit concerned. Even though we had been through other European cities, the prospect of going to a place where English wasnt the primary language, and the culture was "different", made me somewhat trepidous. It turned out to be one of the best experiences of our life. Czech is a lovely place; that we knew from the guidebooks, and a delightful little book on Prague. But, the real benefit came from the details that Go Europe supervised. Go Europes attention to detail was absolutely amazing, down to which path to take in the middle of our mountain hike. We will never tour another place without their guidance. We saw places and enjoyed venues that even surprised my Czech co-workers.
Thanks David; you made our European trip one heck of a memorable vacation. I've already recommended you :). Thanks again.
Go Real Europe was the best... We only had 4 days in the Czech Republic. We hooked up with David and Go Real Europe, we actually found them on the internet. They were able to build a itinerary for us that included Prague and then down to Cesky Krumlov in Southern Bohemia... David was great and he helped us in planning a memorable trip. We cant wait till they expand to different countries, as we will use them again.
I have yet to meet or work with anyone in the travel industry who gives personal attention and detailed information like David Manley from Go Real Europe. My wife and I used Go Real to take care of many of our arrangements while on a trip to The Czech Republic and specifically Prague this fall (2009). His attention to detail is unparalleled and amazing. Every question is worth his notice and careful planning. He responds to needs in such a short time it’s scary. Our plans included side trips from Prague to the countryside and on those events this company shined. We were able to navigate the subway and train systems without any missed steps because each sign, turn, and direction was noted clearly and precisely on our itinerary. NO ANXIETY at all and that’s great in a foreign country! The service was excellent and reasonably priced. Go Real Europe listens to what you want and can afford, then tailors an experience which is a perfect fit to your needs. The guides and transportation companies, this travel service employed on our behalf, were of the highest quality. Everything about our Czech experience was terrific and that, in HUGE part, is to the suggestions and plans we received from Go Real Europe.
My husband and I took our first visit to the Czech Republic under the guidance of David and Go Real Europe. It was also the first trip we took where we used a travel service and were very glad we did. What we particularly liked was that even though there was very much planning in the itinerary, we did not have to keep up with a tour and could change our minds if we chose to do so. We could also “exchange” days if we got a late start and needed to fill in with something closer. Upon our arrival in Prague, we were met promptly and taken to our hotel, where we found a bottle of Czech wine left for us by Go Real Europe. The hotel was in a great location along the metro and tram lines (tickets provided) and within walking distance of most of the places we visited. The directions provided by Go Real Europe were excellent as were the recommended attractions. Our stay in Cesky Krumlov was the highpoint. The guide Go Real Europe arranged for our tour of the town was excellent and I would recommend her - her name was Sharka. We also loved the many day trips we took from there. Some spots we rushed through while others we spent more time than allocated in the itinerary but since we were on our own, changing things around was up to us. There were many places we would not have thought to visit but glad we did. The countryside was beautiful. And lastly, Czech Republic was a real bargain as it was not yet on the Euro. We absolutely loved our trip and the great itinerary and extra help David provided. We will definitely use Go Real Europe again!
When we first started contemplating a vacation to Europe, we imagined an extra special trip where travel between cities would be interesting and exciting and hotels would be really cozy with lots of charm; near good restaurants /pubs and within walking distance of major attractions; and, that didn’t cost a fortune in this down economy. We started with an online search of hotel and transportation options and quickly found that we would need help if we were going to achieve our goal. There is SO much out there; how does one know what is a good value and what is not? During a couple of searches, we found Go Real Europe and were intrigued. We liked the idea of having a travel agent plan a trip based on a comprehensive survey of personal preferences. We had never used a travel agent before and decided to research Go Real Europe more. We completed the comprehensive travel preference survey and from that, Go Real Europe put together a tentative itinerary. Following the itinerary, we received a phone call from David Manley, owner of Go Real Europe, to introduce himself. David seemed great over the phone and we began to feel more comfortable with the idea of using Go Real Europe to plan our trip; and we are really glad we did. They planned a better trip than we could have planned ourselves and surprisingly, at a better cost than we could have managed on our own. From the comprehensive travel preference survey to follow-up phone calls, Go Real Europe worked with us every step of the way to ensure we were completely satisfied with every detail of the planned itinerary. David was extremely responsive, using e-mail and phone calls to confirm details and answer questions. David’s level of responsiveness and attention to detail made us feel very special and helped relieve any anxiety we might have had with using an online travel agent that we had never heard of before. I would recommend that anyone planning a trip to Europe, and in particular, Prague (a Go Real Europe specialty), use Go Real Europe to plan their trip. Go Real Europes intimate knowledge of Prague and European travel overall, will guarantee an amazing vacation experience. Highlights of our trip follow and provide examples of why we recommend Go Real Europe to plan a trip to Prague/Europe. Transportation to/from Airports and Train stations: Traveling in a foreign country can be daunting, even if some people do speak English. Go Real Europe helped ease travel anxiety by arranging taxi pick-up from hotels and drop-off at train stations and airports. We never had to worry about how we were going to get from the airport to our hotel or who was going to pick us up at the train station. David arranged for pre-paid pick-up service that was always there waiting for us. Transportation between cities: Our preference was to travel by train between cities (Hamburg, Berlin, Prague, and Vienna) and when we initially looked online at the price of train tickets, we were shocked by the high prices. We don’t know how David did it, but he got us 1st Class train tickets (at 2nd Class prices) and it made for an extra-special experience. 1st Class on European trains includes a private cabin with food and beverage service. It was wonderful! Transportation within the cities: To encourage the use of public transportation, Go Real Europe provided pre-paid tickets with instructions for using the public metro system. When we got to the hotel, an envelope of public transportation tickets was waiting for us in our room. Public transportation in Prague (and the other European cities we visited) was easy to use and having the metro tickets already in-hand made the whole experience that much easier. I highly recommend using public transportation; it’s easy, fast, reliable and much less expensive than taxi’s. Accommodations: Go Real Europe exceeded our expectations in arranging hotel accommodations that suited our personal preferences and provided excellent value. To our delight, we had no trouble with reservations or checking-in to the hotels, and our rooms were exactly as described (actually better than the pictures). David made it extra special by having a bottle of wine (with a welcome note) waiting for us in our room. Taking it a step further, Go Real Europe provided copies of all hotel reservations and confirmations as part of our itinerary, which we didn’t use, but were nice to have and helped provide reassurance that if something had gone wrong, we would have all the information needed to help resolve the situation. You can trust Go Real Europe to take care of you! Sightseeing: Go Real Europe went beyond our expectations in suggesting options for sightseeing and touring. As part of the itinerary, Go Real Europe provided street maps and step-by-step walking directions to various points of interest. The streets of Prague form quite a maze, and the maps proved very helpful. It was evident that Go Real Europe has an intimate knowledge of Prague and the maps helped alleviate any unnecessary frustration with trying to navigate through the city. Guided Castle Tour: One of the things we hoped to arrange on our vacation was a day-trip that included a little adventure; interesting transportation, a little hiking or biking, a cozy lunch at a local venue with beautiful scenery and exciting points of interest. Go Real Europe arranged a day-trip that proved to be all of that and more. Go Real Europe arranged for a private guide (which made us feel very special) to take us to Krivoklat Castle; about 20 miles or so outside of Prague. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area, spoke English well (with a great Czech accent), and was very patient; answering all of our questions and providing interesting trivia along the way. We got all that we wanted and more; a private guide, travel on an old Communist-era train that provided a sense of nostalgia and charm, hiking through lush forested areas, and visiting a castle built in the 1100’s. It was a wonderful experience; one of the best days of our trip. Special Boat Tour: I am a photo enthusiast always looking for the next great photo opportunity. Before finding Go Real Europe online, I found a website that offered scenic boat tours on the Vltava River in Prague. Go Real Europe offered to arrange a similar tour and booked a reservation for 1:00 on a Wednesday. I immediately thought to enquire about an evening tour, when evening light is more suited to photo-taking. David checked and confirmed that evening tours were not offered. I was disappointed, but decided to stick with the 1:00 tour anyway. I was delighted when a couple of days later, David e-mailed to say that he had made arrangements for a special evening tour. Not only did David arrange a special evening tour, but he also arranged for a private guide. It was a great evening and I got some fantastic photos! Tickets to Cultural Events: We always try to attend a cultural event while on travel but it can be tricky to try and arrange good seats at reasonable prices. Great seats are important, why go if you can’t see or hear well? Go Real Europe took that worry out of our hands by making all the arrangements; and we got great seats at a great price! We saw the Marriage of Figaro at the Estates Theatre; a wonderful Italian production (that was discreetly subtitled in English and Czech) that we will never forget; it was an amazing experience. We would like to say thank you to Go Real Europe for taking the uncertainty of travel planning out of our hands and planning one of the best vacations we have ever had. Thank you, Go Real Europe!!
Recently, my boyfriend and I decided to go on a trip. We were trying to decide between several countries and chose the Czech Republic. While trying to figure where to go and how to get there, I got frustrated with how little I knew and I googled it. A website called Go Real Europe popped up. The website had a questionnaire that allowed me to choose preferences regarding activity level, tours that might interest us, and willingness to travel outside of Prague. I made selections that focused on several areas such as Communism, history, and activities that included biking. For what seemed like a very reasonable price Go Real Europe designed an extensive itinerary that covered everything. Our transportation to and from the airport, to and from Cesky Krumlov after we'd been to Prague, several tours, self-guided tours as well as guided tours, and hotels. From the ride to our hotel in Prague from the airport, we felt completely taken care of. There was a bottle of wine waiting in our spacious hotel room overlooking the Charles River bridge with a note of welcome from David. From that moment on, everything went beautifully. He provided us with a cell phone that had many numbers programmed into it that covered every leg of our trip. We only really needed it once - when the rafting outfit lost our reservation in Cesky Krumlov. A quick call to David solved our problems and we enjoyed one of the highlights of our trip, rafting along the Vltava River. We asked for a rather physical experience on our questionnaire and I was under the impression that my boyfriend and I were pretty fit. The bicycling day trip that we asked for in Cesky Krumlov ended up being an odyssey to the top of a mountain at our own, uneducated, request. The 7-hour trip ended up being one of the great physical challenges of my adult life. Our tour guide never became breathless (apparently, the Czechs are great bicycle enthusiasts!), while I lost the ability to salivate somewhere around the halfway point. I began to seriously wonder if I would make it without shaming my country and falling over in a dead faint. Once we reached the top of the mountain, we looked at a beautiful, pristine mountain-top lake that is untouched by humans. The sight made up for every moment of torture I had experienced. Halfway down the mountain, we stopped and had a beer and a sausage. What sweet reward! I cannot recommend Go Real Europe enough. We are thinking about going to Poland in 2010 and hope that he can help us with that trip as well. Go Real Europe made sure that we felt very special during our entire stay.
Thanks again for your invaluable assistance in planning and booking our early September vacation in Prague. Thanks for paying attention to our budget and listening carefully to our wishes! The connections to Karlovy Vary and Cesky Krumlov and the tours and accommodations you arranged & booked for us were excellent! The tour guides and hotel owners were hospitable and helpful. Also, the personal booklet of our trip you created for us was terrific and saved us much time. At no time did we feel lost! In short, a “grand thank you”; on our next trip to Europe, we will begin by asking you to help!
My husband and I are independent travelers. We don’t like group tours because we prefer to do what we like when we like without being rushed, and without being at the mercy of a group schedule. On the other hand, it’s tough to navigate a country you’re unfamiliar with entirely on your own without missing out on a lot, and without having to spend inordinate amounts of time on research – time that we don’t necessarily have. That’s where Go Real Europe comes in. Our vacation in Prague was a perfect balance of exploring on our own while being supported by the knowledge and virtual presence of David Manley at the other end of a cell phone line. David checked on us several times during our stay in Prague to make sure all was well and that we didn’t need any extra help with anything. He provided transport tickets and a ton of local information up front of the sort that one doesn’t normally get when traveling, unless you’re visiting local relatives or friends. The Go Real Europe experience is the perfect hybrid between being in control of your own leisure travel while having the support and guidance of a friendly local presence. My only complaint is that I wish they were in other places in addition to the Central Europe! I would never travel without them, if that were the case. I have referred them to several friends since our return and would recommend their services without reservation.
I type this message from the plane after a marvelous two weeks. I want to thank you for the excellent arrangements you made and the manner in which you stayed completely on top of our travel with strategically placed calls to ensure all was going per plan. Any time you need me as a reference, I will be glad to provide you a glowing one, and I know any of the others in our group will also be willing to do so. You have a great business model and I wish you well in your business and growth. We were in complete awe and fully satisfied with everything you did or handled. Thank you also for following up with American Airlines for Kittys vegetarian meal. It worked! I really appreciate it.
Your detailed itinerary, the maps with suggested attractions, the punctuality of all van pick-ups, the transportation, the selection of cultural events, and your phonecalls to make sure everything was on track were invaluable!!!
We have been on the go since we returned but have told our friends what a super job Go Real Europe did in arranging our travel and our stay in Czech Republic. It was much more than we expected...the Hotel, instructions, advice and all your arrangements were right on...the restaurant in Mala Strana was the best...we went back three times. Will certainly recommend you to our friends. Thanks again.
Hi David! This is Jeffery and Louise Sykes. We just wanted to once again thank you for such a wonderful trip that you planned for us. It was the best time of our lives! You were right on with the directions to each of the sites, metro stations and the tour office. We never lost our way; you made it so that we always felt confident when we were on our way to the next destination. We also loved how we had the flexibility in our schedule to do whatever, whenever aside from the planned tours. We loved our apartment and you couldnt have picked a better neighborhood that absolutely matched our personality. We really felt part of the neighborhood. We would like to plan a trip in a few years with our kids. We want to go to London for a few days then catch the under water train to Paris and stay for a few days. We hope that you would be the one to plan that family trip for us. Once again thank you for planning the most enjoyable, romantic, and exciting trip that both of us have ever been on. We will never forget our 10th Anniversary and honeymoon- that we never had!!! Take care David and God Bless!
My husband and I were more than pleased with the whole arrangement. You made the trip memorable and your attention to detail was commendable. Thanks for checking up with us every step of the way to make sure we were on the right track . This was our first self guided vacation and it went off without a hitch. Of course the company was fabulous too. Thanks once again!
If you ever want us to speak with anyone we would be happy to do that! Good Luck and thanks again. We would not hesitate to use Go Real Europe again for the following reasons: 1) the attention to detail, 2) the 61 page itinerary was packed with details and so nicely paced with the freedom to explore on our own, 3) the hotel selection and locations were great, 4) the tour guide selection and schedules worked perfectly, 5) we did not encounter one problem in our pre planned itinerary from the pick up at the airport to our return six days later, 6) the price was reasonable !!! We thouroughly enjoyed our trip to Prague and the Czech Republic - Thank you!
I would like to thank you for helping us organize our trip to Eastern Europe. We had a wonderful time, learned a lot and also got ourselves exhausted, as there was a lot to see and do and a lot of walking on cobblestones!! Here are some comments:
1. Your instructions and logistics were excellent. We were able to go everywhere with your instructions and easily learned how to use the metros, buses, and trams in every city. People were friendly and helpful. They all spoke English, even though we found very few American tourists.
2. The guides in every city were great. We learned a lot from them. The people who provided transportation were good too.
3. The sites you suggested for each area were well worth seeing, although it was so packed that we skipped a couple, due to our own exhaustion...
4. All the hotels were well located, with easy access to sight seeing, accessible to public transportation and in safe areas.
5. The night train from Budapest to Krakow was very tough. 3 of us in a tiny compartment with bunk beds was extremely tight. The a/c was not working well, so we opened the windows and it was very noisy. Our wagon was right next to the train engine!! I could not sleep at all that night. Were there other types or better quality wagons/night trains? Just curious.
Overall, the trip was great!! It was an unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend to others.
You and your staff did an excellent job organizing the trip for us. Thanks again for everything!
Heres the referral. Again, thank you so much for making our experience hassle-free and memorable! My husband and I like to do our own thing, without the restrictions of being a part of a tour group or such. Having only three days to spend in Prague, it was important that we hit the maximum amount of sites with the minimum amount of fuss. David worked with us in customizing our itinerary, without any sort of hard sell. He was extremely accommodating and truly listened to our needs. Our Go Real Europe experience started with a brief questionnaire on the website regarding our “travel style.” I was really surprised, upon receiving the initial itinerary, how perfectly suited it was to us. More importantly, having gone with the itinerary has turned out to be the best resource for our trip. We were coming in from Krakow, via railway, and David provided us with detailed instructions to take the Metro to the hotel. When we got there, we were immediately given a map and Metro tickets to use during our stay. We really appreciated the map (with information on points of interest, shopping, restaurants and cafes in each specific area) which eliminated the hassle of trying to figure out what to see and where to eat. We did include a guided tour of the Medieval Town of Kutna Hora, though we were apprehensive about this as well. Again, my husband and I like to explore things our own way and we were afraid that having a guide would mean listening to too many details and having to stick to a pre-determined plan of some sort. We were pleasantly surprised when the guide, Petr, turned out to be someone who matched our sensibilities. He answered all our questions and did not bog us down with unnecessary factoids or worse, silly jokes (which a guide in Poland once did!). Petr was such a pleasure to be with, it was almost like having a friend of a friend show us around. All in all, we were very happy to have used Go Real Europe and will do so again should our future travels take us to any of the other destinations they service. In a word, the experience was invaluable!
We booked an eight day itinerary trip with Go Real Europe. I can only say that the service offered by them was better than perfect. This was our first time in the Czech Republic and we visited eight towns altogether in these 8 days. Unlike going with a group tour, we had the full autonomy to visit the places and to stay in areas we were interested in and not being rushed from one place to another. Go Real Europe designed a very personal itinerary which was tailor-made to our interests and provided very personalized service. Right before the trip, we were given detailed instructions regarding currency conversion, use of mobile phones, transportation and driving tips. All were very useful. From the very first moment we arrived in Czech, everything was well arranged and planned. The hotel booked for us was nice and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Most of our tours were self guided but very detailed instructions with background history were given by Go Real Europe. They also arranged a few excursions for us, which were all with personal guides with professional knowledge. In fact, from time to time, they called and checked with us to make sure everything was going OK. That made us feel that they were really devoted wholeheartedly to serving their clients in the best way. Frankly, without their advice, we wouldn’t have been able to explore the many extraordinary beauties of this country and would have ended up just like most of the tourists visiting the crowded tourist spots. In addition, the price they charged was very reasonable, considering the amount of time we saved in planning and researching and the level of professionalism and knowledge they offered. We were quite sceptical at first about using a service posted in the web. Now we have tried it and we had no regret in choosing Go Real Europe.
My husband and I experienced the best trip to Prague, Cesky Krumlov and Vienna with the help of David Manley and Go Real Europe. Our seventy page long itinerary was perfect. It included maps, hotels, tour guides, self guided tours, transfers and pick up from hotels to and from the airport, buses and trains. Go Real Europe paid attention to our needs and the details of what we wanted. We have been to Australia, France, Italy, London and Canada and we have never had a better time than with the organization of Go Real Europe. The tour guides - Sarka with” Walks of Prague” and Petr who took us to Kutna Hora for a lovely bike ride - could not have been more personal, it was like having a friend showing us around. Go Real Europes selection of guided tours worked out perfectly for us. I will and have recommended Go Real Europe with pleasure to my friends for its high standards. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Prague and Vienna with the help and guidance of Go Real Europe.
Thank you again for the excellent service. For many years I have wanted to take my wife on a trip to Europe. We are so glad we decided to use the services of Go Real Europe. At first we were somewhat apprehensive whether this service was legitimate but the itinerary included the bookings and contact email addresses that we were able to double check and set our minds at ease. As this was our first trip to Vienna and Prague it took the pressure off knowing that we had a detailed step by step itinerary with great flexibility. We appreciated the extra things David suggested including the trip to Cesky Krumlov. We were more than satisfied with Go Real Europe and heartily recommend their services.
You have no idea how this trip has surpassed what I thought I would be able to achieve. The transport at the Prague airport was wonderful, I was so glad to have someone meet me. The hotel in Prague was nice and the room was huge. I would recommend it, although the stairs could be a little overpowering. The Hotel Savoy in Vienna is just a little gem of hotel. Again the rooms are amazing in size for Europe. With the hotels great location and Go Real Europes instructions, it was very convenient and easy to get to everything I wanted to do. The Skype was nice too - what a joy to be able to ring home without worrying about a bill. But the best thing for me was the transport passes. They were wonderful and allowed me to sneak out of range, and to see parts of the city I normally might have been too worried to visit. I sort of felt that I was orienteering. The public transport systems are wonderful, just a little bit confusing sometimes, so it was so reassuring to have your instructions. And finally the money conversion cheat sheet was great. I would have had no way of figuring out the value of the Czech Korona without that lovely little sheet, and it was a valued tool in my pocket. Thank you again, you have made me very happy with all that you arranged.
Well, we finally caught up with mail, bill-paying, and so many other things which needed our attention……. And now is the time to thank you for making our visit to Prague a memorable experience. The selection of the Savic hotel was an excellent choice. Not only was the personnel exceptional attentive but both room and the breakfast served daily were exceptional. The front office staff went out of their way to help us in any way they could. Their English was excellent. The tour guides you offered for the various tours were extremely knowledgeable and added many interesting facts. Exceptional was Mr. Petr Skarka who took us to Kutna Hora to the silver mine and all the various sights in that town. The Itinerary which you prepared was extremely well thought out and made the most of the time which we had available. On the whole, it was probably one of the best travel experiences which we have had. We wish you all the best, and hope you get many more satisfied customers.
Go Real Europe is the "real deal"! Once you start working with David or any member of his team you will find out they will/can become fast friends and a great resource for you to enjoy your European adventure. My husband and I both work fulltime and have very, very busy schedules. We starting researching hotels, trains, etc. for our 14-day trip that started in Berlin, through Prague and ending in Munich and realized there were a lot of reservations to be made plus a lot of unknowns about new countries we were visiting. We discovered Go Real Europe during that search and the long story short is that it was the BEST discovery. David took care of all the details for us. We started our trip informed, prepared and ended it with zero stress. Take the time to allow David Manley and Go Real Europe help you plan a trip, you wont regret it. David - If you think adding my cell phone number is helpful, you can add it (815-999-5577).
I am finally settling back into a regular routine back here in Melbourne, having been back for nearly 3 weeks now. Although I continued on from the Czech Republic to Croatia, Greece and Turkey I still have wonderful memories of Prague and Cesky Krumlov. Thank-you so much for organizing my 10 day stay in the Czech Republic in September 2010. The small hotels you selected in Prague & Cesky Krumlov were perfect for the solo traveller; ideally situated for local walking exploration. The support you provided in the form of printed maps and iPhone were most useful for the independent traveller; enabling me to explore the cities and enjoy freedom of movement with confidence. The Guided Walking Tours you scheduled gave me the opportunity to meet other travellers and enjoy the skills of informative and confident English speaking guides; complementing my personal exploration of the cities. I am able to recommend your company Go Real Europe with confidence to those seeking a personalized service providing opportunities for cultural immersion. Thanks again.
Just a short note to thank you for the excellent job you did in helping us plan our two weeks in the Czech Republic. We found the personalized, comprehensive itinerary that you prepared for us to be interesting, enjoyable, and perfectly manageable. Having traveled extensively on our own for so many years we were amazed at how effortless and stress-free this vacation proved to be. Not being able to speak Czech was not a hindrance, thanks to your assistance, and the prearranged reservations. We were pleased with our hotel accommodation, impressed with your knowledgeable guides (especially Karolina in Cesky Krumlov) and charmed by this beautiful country with its extraordinary castles, friendly people and vast history. So David, thank you once again for all your efforts and expertise. Thank you for being such a delight and for being so assessable. It was a great comfort to know that you were just a call away if we encountered any inevitable travel frustration. We would recommend you to any one traveling to your part of the world.
Thanks David, We had a fabulous time. You did a great job with everything. I am very happy to give you a reference if you ever want one. We were very happy with everywhere we stayed, the trip and guide for Eagles Nest was exceptional. Our favourite spot to stay was Salzburg, although we also loved Krumlov and the last night in Prague. Vienna worked great as well. All our rides were well organized, it would have been very stressful for us without your help. It was also nice to know you were available for guidance if needed and nice that you checked in on us a few times. Thanks so much!
Ernie and I would like to thank you for making our trip to Prague just magical. We have been travelling to Europe for many years and never has our itinerary fit us so well. Your attention to detail is incredible. The guided tours were wonderful. Our day with Sharka was perfect. She is a very educated, knowledgeable and conscientious guide. One can tell that she loves what she does, therefore, she makes everyone feel good about being with her. Our day with Petr to Kunta Hora was just a wonderful experience. We felt like we were spending the day with an old friend....he, too, is very knowledgeable and considers the clients wants or needs. (Unfortunately Ernie came down with a really bad cold that day and Petr was kind enough to take us to a pharmacy and recommend a medicine for Ernie to purchase). All of the directions for our self guided walking tours were perfect. We felt very comfortable being out on our own. Hopefully by the time we plan our trip to Europe next year you will be offering tours in other countries that we would like to visit.
David, We arrived home safely after a smooth flight from Vienna via Lufthansa. Margaret and I were very pleased with our entire Eastern Europe experience and found working with you and your staff quite easy and enjoyable. We were especially pleased with the hotels you selected as all were superbly located, very convenient to the center of most activities and the staff at each location most helpful and easy to deal with. While we had been to Europe and the Middle East several times over the years, we had never been to your area of the world before and were most impressed with the history, people and culture to which we we were exposed. Our guides were terrific, extremely knowledgeable and all spoke English about as well as we did. We found the itinerary quite easy to follow, didnt get lost too often and appreciated the detailed instructions you included for getting around, using the metro systems. We had a wonderful celebration of our 50th Anniversary and couldnt have chosen a nicer location or better way to commemorate this special milestone in our life together. By the time we got to Vienna, we were both getting a little tired walking and tried to get back to our hotel by mid afternoon for a brief rest. Hence, we decided to opt for a special dinner on the evening of the 13th, our actual anniversary. Margaret felt very badly that we hadnt notified our guide Martin but we didnt realize we would be his only tourists that evening and would be concerned about our absence. We have two friends going on the river cruise from Prague to Budapest quite soon and we are anxious to compare notes. Personally, I cant see how they could possible see as much as did we and one of the highlights for us was staying in four lovely Hotels right in the center of all the activities. We even managed to catch the Prague Marathon though chose not to participate!! Thanks for all your hard work and especially keeping a watchful eye over us. Please also thank your staff and especially Lucie Tyfova who procured our tickets to La Traviata which was wonderful and also all of our train and metro tickets, all of which worked without a hitch. Good luck in your future endeavors and thanks for everything you did to keep us safe and everything running smoothly. Hope we meet again.
My wife and I have been to Europe several times and never used any type of company to help us with hotels, trips, activities or other information. We decided that since we had never ventured this far into central Europe that we would give Go Real Europe a call just to see what they offered. We were impressed with what we heard and took a chance just to see if they would deliver what was advertised. They delivered everything that they said they would and more! The information provided on how to navigate through public transportation systems in Vienna and Prague was invaluable and the directions to follow in getting to attractions was extremely detailed and accurate. The hotels that we stayed in were nicer than we were used to obtaining on our own and there were things to see and do that we would not have found on our own. The personalized itinerary was perfect, the guided tours were second to none and the Go Real Europe staff was very personable and accessible when we had questions. Our experience with Go Real Europe could not have been better!
Your itinerary lay-out, hotel choices, transportation arrangements, incl. public transport tickets and the detailed advice on how to use them, recommended activities .... it was all great! Starting out each city visit with a guided walking tour was very beneficial. The Guides were all excellent, very knowledgeable and pleasant to be with. What we learned from them gave more substance to our visit and helped to orient us .... We enjoyed the experience in each of the cities we visited. Public transit systems are so efficient and easy to use, once you become familiarized .... in Vienna we used the underground to get to Westbahnhof..... two stations, to get to our train to Frankfurt.
By-the-way .... Miriam and I have been spreading the word about GoRealEurope.com to people we met and friends at home .... we like the concept.
We just got back last night and trying to fight off jet lag! I wanted to say THANY YOU for such an amazing experience. You made this trip stress free for us and we LOVED all of our guides and transportation people you set us up with. I know some of these people are your go to guys and others through contacts of yours. PLEASE let them all know what a fantastic job they did. Hopefully I can remember all that helped this trip to be so enjoyable. In Prauge, Toni, Maria and Petr (Peter) were fabulous. All were so knowledgable and personable. We loved them all, but Petr was beyond amazing. Even though he dragged my ass biking of a total of 25 miles (with some hills!!) and was so tolerant of my huffing and puffing!! lol. In Cseky Krumlov we had Marcella with the hike. She was so much fun and we loved her little dog that came with us. Adorable!! Sarka (Sharka) was the best and we had a blast with her biking in Trebon (sp)? I wanted to take her home with me. She could really make a great friend!! In Vienna, Alex(ander) was an A+ guide for us around town and another fabulous biking trip through Krem and all the beautiful little villages and vineyards we went through. This guy was so full of History and so much fun to learn from (as were the others). In Budapest, Robert was so cute and so professional. What a neat kid!! I could just go on and on. PLEASE pass on to their place of work how amazing all of these people were. I know some of them are your "go to" guys so pat them on the back. I don't remember the girls name that picked us up at the airport in Prague and also took us to the bus en route to Cesky Krumlov, but she was awesome too!!
I can't say enough about your business, David! I will give you 5 star reviews on your site and trip-advisor. Give me a few days as I'm hitting the ground running to catch up on real life. It was so great to meet you as well and we will recommend you highly to anyone who wants to travel to Eastern Europe.
I hope I remembered everyone who made our trip amazing.
Hope to use you again in the future! Maybe you will expand your areas of travel......like everywhere!! lol
